Heanor Gate has been a specialist science college since 2002, and we have just gained redesignation for a further four years. The school has also been designated as a High Performing Specialist School and we have recently been awarded a second specialism in vocational studies. From September 2008 we will be the lead school for the new Diploma in IT.
