Heanor Gate Science College is located just off the A608 road between Smalley and Heanor, opposite the entrance to Heanor Gate Industrial Estate.

School buses are available to transport pupils from Morley, Oakwood and Spondon.
The H1 service bus between Derby and Alfreton also passes the end of the drive.
