Red Nose Day : Out of Uniform Day - Friday 15th March. Wear it Red if possible. Students out of uniform should bring a £1 donation for Comic Relief.


Website Update: Heanor Gate Science College website will be being redesigned over the next few months. Consultations with students, staff and parents will be taking place to help us ensure the design helps to make it easy for everyone to find they information they need. Sports Charity Work
Student Sports Leaders were presented with certificates for their hard work as well as a cheque for over £6500 representing the money raised for the 'Saving Abbey Fund'. Many thanks to the students, staff and members of the local community who boxed non-stop for 24hrs. A BBC report on the event can be viewed here.
 
Environment Challenge
Year 9 students designed Eco-homes as part of the National Climate Challenge. Congratulations to the winning team. Their design, which featured a water mill powered home with recycled furniture and natural insulation, will now be entered into the national competition.
 
 
Amnestea Fundraising Event
Congratulations to the Year 11 girls who raised £340 for Amnesty International by organising a cake sale at Marlpool  URC.
